St Vincent de Paul incursion with Meg Roche – Year 5

I really enjoyed the incursion with Meg Roche from Saint Vincent de Paul.
Meg taught me some very interesting and amazing strategies on how to remain positive throughout my life. As a class we donated lots of non- perishable items and I’m very glad they’re going to someone in more need.

My favourite part of the incursion was the lessons Meg taught us, I realised that everything helpful we do is a prayer. A simple deed can go a long way and a positive attitude can lead to a good life. Meg said that for everything in life it’s all up to you, no matter how much someone tells you to do something, it’s all up to you. Meg used an extremely good example, there a two parts of life, one is the positive thinking and the other is the negative. She taught the class a very valuable saying, “If it is to be it is up to me.”

In conclusion, I really enjoyed Meg Roche’s incursion and I can’t wait for the next time she comes in. I hope that all those non-perishable items help some people who are struggling with life. Thanks to Meg I can now remember that “If it is to be it is up to me.”
