Dear Parents and Carers
Edu Dance commenced yesterday and all the children seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves and very keen to be involved. I must admit it’s a trifle hard not to join in with them on my travels around the school. The music and moves invite engagement!
The eight week Edu Dance programme will culminate in a concert which will be held in Week 9 on Monday 16th. We will let you know the times ASAP but suspect it will be an after lunch event as we will need to hold two concerts, one for the Yrs PP-3 and one for the Years 4-6. Both concerts should take around 20 minutes each Tina (the dance teacher) informed me today.
This Friday we have a Student Assembly to present Class Student Merit Certificates and certificates of appreciation to all our Semester 1 Student Councillors. We will also announce the Term 3 Student Councillors and present them with their badges. The Year 6 Student Councillors met with me yesterday to set the Agenda and prepare for the meeting. Our first Term 3 meeting will be held on Friday after assembly.

Parents will be responsible for transporting their child to Abbett Park and we will walk back to school together at the conclusion of training or your child can be collected. The program will commence this week and run through to week nine. Please complete the permission slip on the link below to ensure your child is able to attend.
Yr 2/3 St John’s Shooting Stars def St. Kieran’s 8-4
A great game for the girls after a 3 week break. Everyone played a great defensive game which opened up the opportunities to score. Proud of the full team commitment and sportsmanship the girls showed on court.
Deanmore 4K def St Johns Superstars 10-9
Another great effort from the Superstars. Amazing defensive skills were on display up and down the Court. The girls tried so hard and were just unlucky not to come away with the win.
Newborough def St Johns Sparks 12 – 7
What a game! The team is really starting to work together and we could not be happier, well done everyone. It was a pretty close game up until the last quarter when Newborough just pulled ahead. Good luck for next week!
