We welcome and encourage participation in school life by parents, grandparents and families. This participation is greatly valued and benefits our community in many ways, both tangible and intangible.
“Homes are built on the foundation of wisdom and understanding. Where there is knowledge, the rooms are furnished with valuable and beautiful things.”
(Proverbs 24: 20v 3-4)
All parents and friends of St John’s are welcome to join our Parents and Friends Association and contribute to a host of School-related activities.
The school recognises the importance of parents as prime educators in the life of their children and the need to effectively involve them in School Programmes. St John’s is fortunate in having an active and co-operative P&F Association who work to build community spirit and raise funds for school resources. The Association organises a variety of social and fundraising functions, while also providing valuable funds for facilities that benefit our students’ learning. The P&F is a wonderful way to meet parents, old and new, and to get involved in the School.
The P&F Association meets on the second Wednesday of each month and endeavours: to enable parents to become more informed about current educational trends; to provide social contact with each other and the school; and to assist the maintenance and/or upgrading of the school grounds and resources.
