Welcome to Year 4

Year Six Visit

Prior to their First Communion, the Year 4’s received a visit from the Year 6’s. The Year 6’s made cards of encouragement for the 4’s and gave them some advice and shared their own First Holy Communion experience. It was a wonderful moment to experience and a true testament to the community spirit we have here at St Johns.

The Year 4’s recently participated in their First Holy Communion Retreat at the Parish Hall.  The retreat was conducted by the Youth Leaders from Servite College. The day was filled with fun games, activities and a great exploration on how the Eucharist can help us draw closer to God. The Year 4’s were able to reflect on the events of the Last Supper, examine Jesus’ parable about the grape vine and its branches as well as write down prayers of thanks. It was a fantastic retreat and we look forward to our First Holy Communion mass coming up in a few weeks.

What Would You Build with Lego?

The Year 2’s and 4’s recently had their first buddy session.  The room was buzzing with excitement as the two classes came together. We spent a few minutes getting to know each other, followed by a big brainstorm. Our question was, ‘If you could build something with Lego, what would you build?’ We listened to lots of wonderful ideas and made plans for our Lego creations.
